A valve cover gasket is a type of cover that prevents the motor oil from leaking by sealing valve covers. These are sealed to the engine cylinder head’s top portion. If it comes off, it leads to:

• Soaked parts of the motor
• Loss of oil
• Possible engine misfire
• Reduced engine performance
• Burning smell of oil
• Dirty valve cover with leaked oil
• Rough running of the engine

Due to the seriousness of the consequences, we advise you to address the leaks before reaching a critical stage. Always replace the fastener seals whenever you replace the valve cover gasket.
